And yet here I am before you now Still trying to get it right. That’s the story, that’s the story of my life.

This is my most requested song and the one which earned me a Golden Guitar for Female Vocalist of the Year in 2003. Last year I re-released it with a new verse and chorus, an update of where I am today.

It is literally the story of my life in about five minutes. Vibrant colour was important for this work, as my life has been very colourful and continues to be.

Love and joy play a huge part, but in the less noticeable, darker areas, control makes an appearance, a reminder of how far I have come. The blues, greens and sand colour signify the Bouddi Penninsula (GuriNgai Country), I draw my inspiration from the fauna, flora and ancient spirituality of the area – my home.
